New Emergency Meditation Focus: Wildfires in Spain's Canary Islands

As reported in the previous posts, there are currently major wildfires in Greece and Siberia.

On Saturday, August 17th, a new wildfire developed on Gran Canaria in Spain' Canary Islands. Since then, the fire had spread rapidly due to a combination of high temperatures, strong winds, and low humidity.

As of Monday, August 19, around 9,000 people have been evacuated.

No casualties have been reported so far. However, the fire has continued to grow and has now engulfed 10,000 hectares on Gran Canaria.

Therefore, we suggest adding this wildfire situation in the Canary Islands to our daily Emergency Meditation at 2 PM UTC as well.
