Currently, there are many active wildfires around the world.  As of August 20th, the most severe wildfire activity is concentrated in Canada, the United States, and parts of southern Europe, particularly Greece and Spain. Wildfires in Greece started on July 17th following a series of heatwaves and wildfires taking place over Europe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Greece_wildfires   As of July 24th, more than 500 wildfires occurred in the country, resulting in evacuations and widespread damage.
