New Daily Emergency Meditation Focus: Super Typhoon Kong-rey

After Typhoon Trami made landfall in western Japan on Sunday evening, Super Typhoon Kong-rey, which is currently a Category 4 hurricane, is heading towards the Ryukyu Islands later this week.

As Ryukyu Islands are still recovering from the damage caused by Typhoon Trami, another blow by Super Typhoon Kong-rey less than a week later would cause further damage and increase the risk of  flooding. Residents who evacuated or lost power during Typhoon Trami may face the same struggles again.

According to AccuWeather, Miyako and Okinawa are expected to face the worst of the impacts which will include damaging winds and torrential rainfall. Wind gusts over 160 km/h (100 mph) will again be possible during the worst of the storm.

Then on the coming weekend, Super Typhoon Kong-rey is expected to reach South Korea and cause damaging winds and severe rainfall.

Therefore, we suggest to include Super Typhoon Kong-rey in the daily Emergency Meditation at 2 PM UTC until it dissolves. Visualize this typhoon being pacified and causing as little harm as possible.
